How to link OSM and Flickr
Photos can be linked with their location and other “amenities” (such as the post box above) in OpenStreetMap.
STEP 1.
Find the ID for the feature in OpenStreetMap using the data layer (found under the plus sign to the right in the OSM map window).
Example:
Way 302851315
What is a “way”?
A “way” can be likened to a “line” or a feature on the map, formed by two or more data points. In the example above the WAY is the building. A “node” is really just one data point. In this case, the node represents the post box.
STEP 2.
Add the OpenStreetMap ID to Flickr as a regular Flickr tag, using the pattern “osm:way=(and the id you found in step 1).
For example.
osm:way=30285315
DONE!
The tags result in a click-able notice in Flickr´s right column that the subject is a “feature in OpenStreetMap”. See the actual photo in this example to test the link.
